Split Shift Nanny Position (Fort Washington, MD)

Start Date: ASAP
Location: Fort Washington, MD
Compensation: $30-$35/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday (split shift), 7:00 AM-10:00 AM and 3:00 PM-8:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours guaranteed

Overview:
A warm, growing family in Fort Washington, MD is looking for an experienced, dependable nanny for a long-term, live-out split-shift position. The family has three children: a 9-year-old, a 4-year-old, and a newborn. Mornings are about getting everyone fed, dressed and out the door for school, or staying home with the baby while the older children are dropped off. Evenings bring the children home for dinner and bedtime routines. You’ll work alongside a hands-on parent as part of a team, so the right candidate is flexible, takes initiative and is comfortable in a shared-care home. This is a great fit for a nanny who enjoys a busy, multi-age household and wants a long-term role with one family.

Responsibilities:

• Help get the children up, dressed, fed and ready for school each morning
• Care for the newborn at home during school drop-off, or handle drop-off as needed
• Feeding, diapering, soothing and nap support for the newborn
• Support afternoon and evening routines, including snacks, play and supervision
• Help with homework as needed
• Prepare simple, healthy meals for the children and assist with family dinner
• Run bath and bedtime routines for all three children
• Do light child-related tidying, including the children’s laundry, dishes and keeping play areas organized
• Drive the children to and from school and activities using your own vehicle

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional nanny experience, including newborn/infant care
• Experience caring for multiple children of different ages at once
• Valid driver’s license, and reliable personal vehicle
• Available for a split shift Monday-Friday on a long-term basis
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Comfortable working alongside a parent who is home
• Must be able to provide 3-5 professional references
